The vocabulary

Words that mean something.

Wamid uses a few specific words to describe how it works. Here is what each of them means — without jargon.

Capture

Drop a thought before it slips, without friction. Voice, text, photo, paste — under a second.

Keep

Let wamid hold it for you, calmly. No folders to build, no system to maintain.

Surface

Resurface at the right moment, never in a flood. wamid brings it back when it matters.

Return

Gently close the loop on a thought that returns. Not ten notifications — one quiet return with context.

Wisp

Persistent card that returns at the right moment in Today: decision, signal, pattern, insight. Five soft types, never urgent.

Ask

Talk to your own memory to search, summarize, transform it. Not a general chatbot — a memory interface anchored in what you saved.

Trace

Internal memory of the app: what wamid knows about your captures to bring them back intelligently. You can inspect it, edit it, delete it.

Mini AHA

Insight triggered when wamid detects that one note just illuminated another. A quiet 'this connects to that' moment, not a notification.

Local-first

Architecture where your notes, reminders, and captures are stored on your device first. The cloud only steps in when you ask, and only with what's needed.

Privacy filter

Membrane between your device and the cloud. It blocks private notes, lets sensitive content stay local, and only sends the necessary context for cloud AI requests.

Sealed request

A temporary AI request containing the minimum context needed. It retains nothing, gets used to answer, then evaporates. The cloud computes — it does not remember.

Memory layer

wamid is not a notes app or chatbot. It is a memory layer between your thoughts and your tools — sitting under your life, not on top of it.

These words shape the product. They are how we think about it, what we mean when we use them, and the promise behind each one.
