Privacy isn't a setting.

Wamid is built on a local-first approach: your notes, reminders, and captures are stored on your device first.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your notes for advertising. We do not train AI models on your personal content. We do not read your notes to build marketing profiles.

Cloud AI features, when available, are reserved for Trial or Pro users and only process the content needed for the requested function.

You can also mark a note as private. A private note is excluded from AI processing.

Data you create in wamid — notes, reminders, quick captures, text, audio, images, files, tags, dates, priorities, information tied to your reminders or personal memory.

By default, this data is stored locally in the application's private space on your device. It is protected by your system's security mechanisms, like application sandboxing and device encryption when enabled.

Some data may be sent to our servers only when needed for a user-activated feature, such as cloud AI, sync, backup, or Pro functions.

Account data — email address, account ID, display name, profile picture if provided by your sign-in service, information related to your subscription or Pro trial. This data is used to manage your account, secure your session, sync your Pro rights, and let you find your wamid space across devices.

Technical data — application version, device model, operating system, technical errors, crash reports, AI call status, processing duration, technical usage volume, information needed for billing and abuse prevention. This data is not used to read the content of your notes.

Wamid uses AI to make your memory more useful: finding a note, summarizing a topic, turning text into a checklist, preparing a reminder, detecting an important idea, or bringing information back at the right moment.

Wamid's AI is designed to stay focused on your memory, not on a general conversation open to the internet.

Free plan — In the official application, the Free plan does not use cloud AI features. You can use essential functions like notes, reminders, capture, local search, and manual organization without sending your content to a cloud AI service.

Trial and Pro — When you use a cloud AI feature, wamid sends only the content needed for the requested processing: a note to summarize, a question to Ask, a capture to analyze, text to turn into a checklist, a reminder to prepare.

We use a secure relay to process these requests. Technical keys for AI providers are never embedded in the application.

We select providers and processing routes based on privacy, security, quality, and performance criteria. When available and compatible with the feature, we favor processing that does not retain the sent content and does not use it to train models.

Wamid does not log the content of your notes in its server logs. We only keep technical metadata needed for service operation.

Wamid lets you mark certain content as private.

A private note is excluded from AI paths: it is not used for Ask responses, suggestions, summaries, automatic links, or intelligent memory functions.

Wamid also uses local protections to detect certain sensitive information before cloud processing: health data, financial data, identity documents, phone numbers, email addresses, strongly identifying personal information.

These protections reduce the risk of accidentally sending sensitive data, but they do not replace your vigilance. We recommend not storing critical secrets in wamid like passwords, full banking codes, private keys, or highly confidential information without a dedicated secure vault feature.

Wamid is designed to work locally first.

Some features may enable backup, export, or sync across devices. When available, they are designed to give you control over the data involved.

You can export your data from the application in a readable, portable format when this function is available.

Future multi-device, web companion, desktop companion, or external connector features will be the subject of additional information before activation, particularly on synced data, required permissions, services used, deactivation options, and privacy settings.

Wamid may offer connectors with third-party services, such as calendar, email, note tools, task tools, professional messaging, or development platforms.

These connectors will never be activated without your action.

When you connect an external service, wamid will only request the permissions needed for the relevant feature. You can disconnect these services from your account settings.

Before activating important connectors, this policy will be updated to clearly explain what data can be read, what data can be imported, how it's transformed into wamid memory, how to disable it, and how to delete associated data.

Wamid does not sell your personal data.

Wamid does not use your notes for targeted advertising.

Wamid does not build marketing profiles from your content.

Wamid does not give advertisers access to your notes.

Wamid does not let humans read your notes, except by legal obligation, your explicit request, or exceptional security need handled under strict procedure.

Wamid does not turn your private data into training material for AI models.

Depending on the case, we process your data on the following bases: service performance for account creation and management, local storage of your notes and reminders, Trial or Pro AI features requested by the user, and subscription management.

Legitimate interest for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.

Legal obligation for responses to legal requests.

When consent is required, we ask for it clearly before the relevant processing.

Wamid uses technical providers to deliver certain parts of the service: authentication, secure hosting, AI processing, technical diagnostics, payment, transactional email sending, sync or backup when these functions are enabled.

These providers can only process data to deliver the requested service. They are selected based on security, privacy, reliability, and compliance criteria.

The list of subprocessors may evolve with the product. Important changes will be reflected in this policy.

Some providers may process data outside your country of residence.

When necessary, we use appropriate safeguards, such as contractual commitments, data processing agreements, or mechanisms recognized by applicable regulation.

Our goal is to limit transfers to what's strictly necessary and to choose providers offering a level of protection consistent with wamid's commitments.

Content stored locally stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the application.

Account data is kept while your account is active.

Technical data is kept only for the duration needed for security, diagnostics, billing, abuse prevention, or compliance with our legal obligations.

Content processed by AI features is not retained by wamid in its server logs. Technical logs related to AI calls do not contain the text of your notes.

Under applicable regulation, you can request access to your data, correction of incorrect data, deletion of your account, export of your data, restriction of certain processing, objection to certain processing, and information on how your data is used.

You can exercise these rights from the application when the function is available, or by contacting us at privacy@wamid.app.

You can also contact the competent supervisory authority in your country. In Morocco, this is the CNDP. In the European Union, you can contact the competent authority of your country of residence.

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data: local storage in the application's private space, encryption of certain sensitive session data, secure transport, limitation of technical keys and access, exclusion of private notes from AI paths, local protections against unintended sending of sensitive data, server-side access control, technical logging without note content, continuous security improvement.

No system is perfect. But wamid is designed to reduce risk, limit exposed data, and give you control over what can be processed.

AI features can help summarize, find, transform, or organize information, but they can also produce errors.

Wamid is not a substitute for a healthcare professional, lawyer, financial advisor, or emergency service.

You should verify important information before making a sensitive decision.

Wamid is not intended for people under 16.

We do not knowingly collect personal data about children. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us at privacy@wamid.app.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in wamid, our services, our providers, or our legal obligations.

For important changes, we'll notify you in the application, by email, or on the wamid website.
